VISIT A SICK OR ELDERLY PERSON
Laughter is good medicine, and knowing that someone cares is an excellent encouragement to a person who isn't well.
Here's the scoop:
What? - Visit or call a sick or elderly person and encourage him/her. Share a joke or a funny story and let them know you care.
Why? - Studies have shown that laughter boosts the immune system. Emotional wellbeing is tied to physical wellbeing. As you share your light and love with another, you also set universal law in motion. Remember that you can't give without also receiving. Plant the seed of love in the life of a person who needs it most.
How? - Check the phone book for hospitals and elderly homes in your area or ask a church member or friend for a referral. Remember that you may have friends or family members battling diseases and chronic conditions who need your encouragement too!
Ready, set, GROW!
