The Black Experience

My producing partner Renee and I are working on a new documentary with the working title "The Black Experience". The piece explores how the media affects the image black people have of themselves and how they relate to each other.

We filmed part 1 of the documentary weekend before last, and it was AMAZING!! We had a roundtable discussion with a group of passionate, intelligent, and enlightened people who brought really great perspective to the piece. I can't wait to showcase the finished product. With interviews, fascinating footage, and the introduction of new ideas AND solutions, I believe this piece will enlighten and inspire black people and all people to think about media and its usage in new ways.
